Charades Word Cards Game

This fun PDF contains 100 decodable word cards with illustrations by a 7 year old and directions for 5 different card games to play. My daughter and I love to play charades and one day she decided to make her own set…I was so inspired by her creativity that we created this set together!

Print double-sided on card stock (or laminate) so the cards can feel more game like. Encourage your child to color in the illustrations. All words are one syllable. The words are grouped by CVC words, consonant blend words with short vowels, VCE or silent e words, VCE words with consonant blends, and r controlled words.

The first page of the PDF contains directions to 5 different common games, including charades, go fish, slapjack silent e, bossy war, and memory. Feel free to give your child hints that connect back to sounds and syllable patterns.
