Is your family looking for a book to gift a young reader? Or a book to intentionally work on early reading skills? Building a book wishlist for your child?
As a dyslexia interventionist, reading teacher, and homeschool mama, I am always working on curating a list of books I hope one day to be able to include in early reading kits directly with families. Until then, I use Bookshop to share curated book lists. These booklists are linked to an affiliate account I maintain with Bookshop, so I will get a small commission for any purchases made through the Reading Garden Club Bookshop. These booklists will continue to change because I am a book lover that continues to read new children's books every week. I hope the lists are helpful. Thank you for your support!
Curated Booklists include:
- Alphabet Books
- Decodables
- Board Books for Toddlers
- Early Reading Read Alouds
- #DearReadingTeacher Podcast Guest Recommendations
- Early Reading Families - Creative + Nature-focused Book Recommendations
If your family has access to a public library, I highly encourage all families to get their library cards and explore the resources for children. Not all families can afford to purchase books, so feel free to utilize the Bookshop lists to create book lists for the library. I used to regularly go "shopping" for books in the local library with my toddler as we browsed.
Happy reading fams!
Elisabeth
